Wedding :: WEDNESDAY :: Table Names & Numbers

I just got back from my (first!) college friend's wedding this weekend. During our last semester, we were crazy enough to train and run a half marthon together...all while we were spending hours upon hours in the design studio getting ready for our interior design senior show. Any who, and I love how they did their table names at the wedding reception. Since he is in the navy and she is an interior designer, they named their tables after famous architects, buildings, Navy ships, Generals, etc. My friends and I sat at the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and the table next to us was Dale Chihuly.

So with this inspiration, here are some more ideas for wedding reception :: TABLE NAMES & NUMBERS ::

First, for the {travel loving} couple:

Try places you've visited or want to visit together. A map is fun, but a name of a city or country will do as well.

If you've traveled a lot, use the postcards you bought and never sent, or the ones you sent back to each other during travels apart (even with the sweet love messages on the back!

For the {fun & light hearted couple}:

Love the polaroid photo booth style pictures...and check out those Street/City names!

These are so fun and a good entertaining/conversation piece for your guests...even if they don't know each other well, they will bond over trying to solve the word puzzles!

Lastly, here are some great table numbers that double as {great gifts} for your guests:

Here are some jars filled with sand, but they inspired me to think about jars of jelly, preserves, canned fruit, etc. Would make a great number/gift, especially for a DIY wedding.

Who wouldn't love to take home a bottle of wine with a custom label to remember your wedding. A perfect idea for a winery venue wedding reception.

Have you seen any creative ideas for naming/numbering tables you'd like to share?
